RIVERS GIVES TEAM GEARS UP TO AGAIN SUPPORT WTAE-TV’S PROJECT BUNDLE-UP
Casino volunteers provide winter wear to those in need, support The Salvation Army
Pittsburgh — Oct. 21, 2025 — Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s Rivers Gives volunteers will take part in another community service day on Wednesday, Oct. 22, partnering once again with WTAE-TV’s Project Bundle-Up to help local seniors prepare for the winter season.
Project Bundle-Up, a joint initiative of WTAE-TV and The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division is approaching its 40th anniversary. The program provides brand new winter outerwear, including coats, gloves, boots and hats, to local children and seniors from low-income households across the region.
During the event, the Rivers Gives volunteers will participate in a special shopping event at Macy’s, where they’ll be paired with senior participants for a personalized shopping experience. Each senior will have the opportunity to choose their new winter gear with the support and companionship of a volunteer.
“The goal of Project Bundle-Up has always been to spread warmth, both in spirit and in need,” said Victoria Gill, director of WTAE-TV’s Project Bundle-Up. “Rivers Casino continues to help make that mission possible by supporting this meaningful annual shopping trip.”
“Our Rivers Gives program is about neighbors helping neighbors,” said Dr. Rahmon Hart, director of community relations at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. “Through Project Bundle-Up, our Team Members are proud to support local seniors to ensure they have the warm clothing they need for the winter season.”
Rivers Gives is the casino’s long-running community outreach program in which Team Members report to work at a local nonprofit instead of on the gaming floor.
In September, Rivers Casino Pittsburgh partnered with The Heyward House to install a new Craig’s Closet at Perry High School and made a monetary donation to The Heyward House in support of its mission to empower local youth.
