CALLING ALL CASTAWAYS: RIVERS CASINO PORTSMOUTH AND WTKR NEWS 3 TO HOST CBS “SURVIVOR” OPEN CASTING ON FRIDAY, APRIL 24
PORTSMOUTH, VA—March 11, 2026—Currently airing its 50th season on CBS, the Survivor torch burns brighter than ever. Hampton Roads: Are you ready to Outwit, Outplay, Outlast?
In collaboration with WTKR News 3, Rivers Casino Portsmouth will host an in-person casting call for Survivor, CBS’ iconic and long-running reality competition show. This marks Survivor’s first time holding a casting call in Hampton Roads, offering local fans a rare opportunity to audition in person.
Auditions will take place at The Event Center at Rivers Casino Portsmouth on Friday, April 24, with on-site registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Numbered wristbands will be distributed in order of arrival, and guests may begin lining up as early as 7 a.m. Registration will close at 4 p.m.
Participants will have the chance to step in front of the camera and deliver a one-minute pitch explaining why they should be selected to join the cast of an upcoming season of Survivor. All auditioning participants will automatically be entered into a drawing to win exclusive prizes.
Survivor producers are looking for prospective contestants who are outgoing, adventurous, physically and mentally adept, adaptable to new environments, and have interesting lifestyles, backgrounds, and personalities.
Survivor casting producers will review all audition videos and contact selected applicants.

Special Appearance by Parvati Shallow, “Survivor” Mount Rushmore Legend
Adding to the excitement at Rivers Casino on April 24, former “Survivor” castaway and reality TV star Parvati Shallow will make a special appearance during the casting call. The two-time winner is widely considered one of the greatest players in Survivor history and is especially known for her strategic alliance, the “Black Widow Brigade,” on Season 16 (“Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites”) where she claimed the title of Sole Survivor. In 2025, she won “Survivor Australia vs. The World.”
Shallow also competed on Season 13 (“Survivor: Cook Islands”), Season 20 (“Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains”), and Season 40 (“Survivor: Winners at War”). She appeared on the second season of both “The Traitors” and “Deal or No Deal Island.” Shallow recently released her memoir, Nice Girls Don’t Win: How I Burned It All Down to Claim My Power. She will be on-site to share insights, offer audition tips, and meet with fans.
Coast Live … Live from Rivers Casino Portsmouth on April 24
To kick off Rivers Casino Portsmouth’s Survivor casting event, Coast Live, WTKR’s popular weekday lifestyle show, will broadcast on location from The Event Center on Friday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Coast Live hosts April Woodard and Chandler Nunnally will be on-site, engaging with the crowd and capturing the excitement of the casting call. The first 200 guests in line by 8:30 a.m. will have the opportunity to join the live studio audience.
Coast Live audience members will also be eligible to win special prizes courtesy of Rivers Casino Portsmouth and WTKR—including gift certificates to Admiral’s Steak & Seafood, tickets to upcoming shows in The Event Center featuring country music sensation Graham Barham on Friday, May 1, and ARRIVAL from Sweden: The Music of ABBA on Friday, May 15, and a surprise grand prize.
On-camera auditions for an upcoming season of Survivor begin immediately following Coast Live at 10:15 a.m.
